"A year ago, a member of our community, Elijah McClain, died in police custody. To lose a young life is always a tragedy, no matter the circumstances, but how we lost Elijah makes it more than a tragedy, it is an injustice. Our community will never be the same, nor should it be. Because the fact is, we failed him. That failure is something that we must reckon with.
WASHINGTON, DC -- In a rare Saturday session, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) will vote for the Delivering for America Act. The bill protects the Postal Service from the dangerous policy changes introduced by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy that would result in diminished service and delays.

Washington, DC – This week, Rep. Jason Crow alongside 117 members of Congress sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer urging the House to take action on unemployment insurance.
In the letter, Crow and other members of Congress ask for House consideration of legislation to reauthorize the enhanced unemployment compensation and tie these critical benefits to state unemployment rates for the duration of the COVID-19 public health and economic crisis through measures like the Worker Relief and Security Act or other bills that would extend the $600 weekly federal unemployment compensation benefits through the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Today Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) and House Small Business Committee Chairwoman Nydia Velázquez led a letter with 28 other members of Congress to Small Business Administrator Jovita Carranza highlighting the grossly inaccurate data prepared by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for Congress on Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. The data, which covers the number of jobs retained per loan and the borrower's congressional district, proved to be largely erroneous, casting serious doubt on the veracity, quality, and reliability of loan data.

Representative Jason Crow (CO-06) announced that four hospitals in Colorado's 6th district will receive $33,087,000 in a second round of funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that Congress passed in March. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has begun distributing a total of $10 billion in funding to hospitals in High Impact areas across the country through the Provider Relief Fund.
