Crow's office began working on the legislation following the death of Elijah McClain, an unarmed 24 year old in Aurora, who suffered a fatal heart attack following a physical encounter with multiple police officers.
- Responding to COVID-19: Crow introduced multiple bills to address the COVID-19 crisis including the Health Force and Resilience Force Act to create a public health workforce to respond to COVID-19, the bipartisan Public Health Workforce Loan Repayment Act to give loan repayment for students who enter into public health departments, the bipartisan Responsibility and Accountability in Strategic Pandemic/Biodefense Planning to improve our nation's biodefense strategy, and legislation to require the President to invoke the Defense Production Act.
- Promoting Energy Efficiency: Crow's SAVE Energy Act, which was signed into law, follows Colorado's lead in making energy efficiency a priority by providing homeowners with a tax credit upwards of $500 for investing in energy-efficient improvements such as better windows, doors, roofing, insulation, and HVAC systems.
- Updating diversity training at the Department of Defense: Crow introduced the Realizing Efforts for Military Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (REMEDI) Act to require 21st century diversity training for the Department of Defense workforce. The legislation would update outdated language to ensure diversity training at the Department of Defense is a reflection of our nation's values and promotes diversity, equality, and inclusion at the largest governmental agency.
- Cracking Down on Dark Money: Crow's first bill in Congress, the End Dark Money Act would close the loophole that allows mega-donors to hide their identities.
- Protecting Our Planet: Crow's bipartisan bill, the Military Installation Resilience Assuredness (MIRA) Act, ensures we understand the threat climate change poses to our national security and was successfully enacted into law.
- Standing up to the Gun Lobby: From Columbine to Aurora, Colorado 6th's district has been ripped apart by gun violence. As co-chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, Crow worked hard to pass H.R. 8, the bipartisan background checks bill, and introduced the Colorado Loophole Act to make sure someone can't buy a gun if they aren't allowed to in their home state. The bill was a direct response following the Columbine anniversary scare on the front range.
- Addressing Skyrocketing Prescription Drug Costs: Crow helped introduce the Freedom from Price Gouging Act which would stop Big Pharma from overcharging for prescription drugs by requiring them to pay a heavy fine if they raise the cost over normal levels of inflation.
- Finding Common Sense Solutions: With partisan politics at an all-time high, Crow has worked to find common ground and introduced numerous bipartisan billsincluding the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Fund Act, the Syrian Partner Protection Act, and seven small business bills in tandem with a Republican co-lead.
