AURORA | Aurora Democratic Rep. Jason Crow’s town hall Wednesday night had fewer participants in the audience than other recent meetings, but participants said they felt like there was more hope.
“The good news is I’m here and not currently incarcerated by the Trump administration,” Crow said in his introduction.
During the two-hour event at Hinkley High School, Crow fielded questions on veterans’ benefits, immigration detention oversight, threats to research funding, media freedom and the role of the military in domestic affairs.
MUNICH — Today at the Munich Security Conference, Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO-06) and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY-14) advanced their alternate vision for U.S. foreign policy, grounded in working-class priorities and true American values. Their remarks followed Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s address before the Conference and contrasted the corruption and elite-driven vision of the Trump Administration against a better way forward that truly responds to working Americans’ needs.
U.S. Rep. Jason Crow said Wednesday that "there will be costs" for the federal officials who unsuccessfully tried to indict him and five other Democratic legislators, hours after Crow's lawyer warned prosecutors against further attempts to charge the lawmakers.
"We are taking names, we are making lists," Crow said in an interview.
Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) on Wednesday demanded U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro preserve all evidence related to her unsuccessful effort to bring charges against him and five other Democratic lawmakers.
The request comes a day after Pirro’s office failed to obtain a criminal indictment against the lawmakers for putting out a video last year urging military personnel not to carry out illegal orders.
Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) on Wednesday applauded a grand jury’s decision not to indict him and five other Democratic lawmakers over their participation in a controversial video last year, arguing that the Department of Justice “failed, and they will always fail.”
WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO-06) issued the following statement after a grand jury in Federal District Court rejected an attempt by the Trump Administration to indict him over a video simply restating the law:
“Donald Trump’s DOJ just tried—and failed—to indict me in front of a grand jury.
AURORA — Today, Congressmen Jason Crow (D-CO-06) and Joe Neguse (D-CO-02) conducted an unannounced oversight visit of the GEO ICE facility in Aurora.
A federal judge again ordered authorities to grant two Colorado congressmen and their colleagues unannounced access to immigration detention centers Monday.
The ruling is the latest blow to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s monthslong effort to slow congressional oversight of the facilities.
The temporary restraining order applied by U.S. District Court Judge Jia M. Cobb will once again allow members of Congress to access detention centers — like the one in Aurora — without prior notice to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.
WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO-06), along with 12 other plaintiffs, were granted emergency relief in his lawsuit to uphold congressional oversight at federal immigration detention facilities. A federal court ordered the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to temporarily restore Members’ right to unannounced congressional oversight of federal detention facilities.
AURORA — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), a three-time combat veteran and former Army Ranger, released the following statement after the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, arrested independent journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort for reporting on protests in Minneapolis:
“There’s nothing more American than the right to dissent and question authority. It’s who we are and how we became a country. I went to war three times for our nation. I swore to uphold the Constitution. There’s no way in hell I’m letting Donald Trump take these rights away now.
