This weekend Rep. Jason Crow will host high school artists from across the 6th district to celebrate their participation in the Congressional Art Competition "An Artistic Discovery".

"We were blown away by the incredible talent these young artists displayed and are looking forward to celebrating their work this Sunday. Thank you to the art teachers and parents across the district who foster students' creativity and support their efforts in and out of the classroom," said Crow. "We are proud to partner with the Congressional Art Competition to help give these young artists throughout the district a platform to display their talents on a national stage."

Today, Representative Jason Crow (CO-06) introduced an amendment to H.R. 9, the Climate Action Now Act, of which he is a cosponsor. Crow's amendment, which passed on the House floor by voice vote, reaffirms the Department of Defense's goal to secure renewable energy across military installations and operations, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support military readiness efforts in the face of climate change.

Today, the House Small Business Committee passed the SBA Cyber Awareness Act, H.R. 2331, out of committee by a voice vote. Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) introduced the bill alongside Representatives Troy Balderson (R-OH), Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), and Steve Chabot (R-OH). The SBA Cyber Awareness Act will be brought to the floor of the House for a vote in the coming weeks.

Last week, Representative Jason Crow (CO-06) introduced the Accelerated Payments for Small Businesses Act (H.R. 2322) alongside Representatives Troy Balderson (R-OH), Steve Chabot (R-OH), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), and Adriano Espaillat (D-NY). The bill would direct federal government agencies that contract with small businesses to pay those small businesses within 15 days, rather than the current 30-day standard. Crow is a member of the House Small Business Committee and Chairman of the Innovation and Workforce Development Subcommittee.

Jason Crow (CO-06) led a letter to the Secretary of the Air Force calling for U.S. Space Command to be based at Buckley Air Force Base, one of the six finalists being considered as the home for Space Command and the only location in Colorado being considered outside of the Colorado Springs area.

AURORA, CO - Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) released the following statement on the news that ICE will be extending its contract to allow for use of the annex space for another 12 months at the Aurora detention facility. The annex, which houses an additional 432 beds, was initially called into question by Rep. Crow in February in a letter to the Department of Homeland Security.

Following a rash of viral disease outbreaks at ICE detention facilities and their privately run facilities across the country, Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) led a letter to the Appropriations Subcommittee for Homeland Security Chairwoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) and Ranking Member Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) urging them to include language requiring ICE facilities to provide access to members of Congress within 48 hours of their request. The letter was signed by 20 House Democrats and models a similar provision enacted into law last year requiring juvenile detention facilities to provide access to members.

Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) introduced his second bill this month, the Saving Americans Value through Efficient Energy Act (the "SAVE Energy Act") to promote energy efficiency among consumers. The bill provides homeowners with a tax credit upwards of $500 for investing in energy efficient improvements such as better windows, doors, roofing, insulation, and HVAC systems.
