WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO), a former paratrooper and Army Ranger who serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement after House Republicans voted down a War Powers Resolution, failing to end Donald Trump’s war of choice with Iran:

“Failing to end the President’s war of choice is a disgrace. Americans are struggling to get by, yet House Republicans and this Administration are more focused on continuing a war no one wants than on making their lives better for working people.

This bill ensures that women in combat are evaluated on their skills, performance, and the gender-neutral standards that female servicemembers are already meeting and exceeding. As Pete Hegseth and the Trump administration malign women in our military, this bill prevents the exclusion of women in our Armed Forces.

Jason Crow, D-Colo., said he was "taking names" and creating his own list on Tuesday when pressed on how Democrats were going to respond to what MS NOW reported as an "enemies" list from the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ), specifically with regard to his participation in a video telling U.S. military personnel to refuse hypothetical illegal orders from the Trump administration.

President Donald Trump’s threat to blow up Iranian power plants and bridges — in his own words, to send the country “back to the Stone Ages” — is facing stiff pushback from Democrats, who are warning the commander-in-chief is on the precipice of committing war crimes. 

Republicans, by contrast, hardly see a problem at all.

The president’s threat came Easter morning, when — in an expletive-laced post — Trump indicated he was prepared to order the U.S. military to blow up key infrastructure across Iran starting Tuesday.
