Members Launched Bipartisan ALS Caucus in 2019 to Find Cure for ALS

WASHINGTON - Today, Reps. Jason Crow (D-CO), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Terri Sewell (D-AL), and Ken Calvert (R-CA) reintroduced a resolution designating May as ALS Awareness Month to raise awareness about the challenges faced by Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients and their families. Senators Coons (D-DE) and Braun (R-IN) introduced the Senate companion.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the body's motor neurons causing decreased mobility and eventually leads to death.

WASHINGTON - Today, Representatives Jason Crow (D-CO) joined by Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) and Veronica Escobar (D-TX) reintroduced the End Transfer of Detained Immigrants Act, legislation which would immediately prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from transferring immigrant detainees between ICE facilities or to federal, state, and local prisons during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The legislation also requires that if physical distancing inside ICE facilities is not possible, that individuals be released to ensure adherence to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

HOPE for Afghan SIVs Act Would Temporarily Waive Medical Examination Requirements for SIV Applicants

WASHINGTON - Today, Reps. Jason Crow (D-CO) and Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) introduced the Honoring Our Promises through Expedition [HOPE] for Afghan SIVs Act of 2021. This bipartisan legislation would waive the requirement for Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) applicants to undergo a medical examination while in Afghanistan.

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) today voted to pass H.R. 3233, the National Commission to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol Complex Act. This legislation would create a bipartisan commission to investigate the facts and causes of the January 6th, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, which was the worst attack on our Capitol since British troops set fire to the building in the summer of 1814.

This bipartisan legislation would deploy a comprehensive strategy to address serious national security concerns related to the supply chains of certain products and materials, which have been placed under a spotlight during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill would provide incentives for American companies operating in countries with concentrated supply chains to move their manufacturing to the United States or other countries in the Western Hemisphere.
