WASHINGTON – Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) released the following statement on the United States Senate vote to acquit former President Donald Trump:
"A year ago I stood on the floor of the Senate and asked them to convict Donald Trump. After bringing forward a clear, concise, and damning case, today my colleagues did the same.
"We have known for a long time that Donald Trump poses a danger to our democracy and the safety of the American people. He will never learn his lesson. He will never change.
"There will always be those who continue to ignore his abuses or who choose political expediency over truth and justice, and they will be accountable to history.
WASHINGTON – Today U.S. Representatives Jason Crow (CO-06), Cheri Bustos (IL-17), Andrew Garbarino (NY-02), and Tom Rice (SC-07) unveiled new bipartisan legislation that would provide small business owners the support needed to create a business succession plan.

Jason Crow (D-C0), Jennifer Wexton (D-VA), and María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) introduced the bipartisan Fairness for Craft Beverage Producers Act that would allow craft breweries, wineries, distilleries, and other small beverage producers that depend on in-person sales in their taprooms and tasting rooms to be eligible for a larger maximum loan amount in the Second Draw Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). These craft beverage producers were inadvertently excluded from increased maximum PPP loan amount eligibility, which is designed to aid the hardest-hit small businesses like restaurants and bars.

In a letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Acting Secretary David Pekoske, Crow, Jayapal, and Ruiz, joined by 72 of their colleagues, applauded the steps President Biden took this week to phase out the use of private prisons within the Department of Justice. The lawmakers called on Acting Secretary Pekoske to apply the same principles to DHS and phase out the use of privately operated immigration detention facilities under Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
