Today, the House passed by a voice vote Rep. Jason Crow's bill, the SBA Cyber Awareness Act (H.R. 2331). The bill, which Crow introduced alongside Representatives Troy Balderson (R-OH), Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), and Steve Chabot (R-OH), was originally introduced in April. The bill now heads to the Senate where it also enjoys bipartisan support.

The defense bill includes multiple amendments, bills, and provisions that Crow secured during committee mark-up and the historic amendment he co-led that prohibits military force against Iran without congressional approval.

Following reports of the deplorable conditions at private, for-profit immigration detention centers across the nation, Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) called for ICE to end its contract with private prison contractors.
Citing a lack of oversight and accountability, Colorado District 6 Representative Jason Crow took a broad public stance today, July 3, against the privatization of immigrant detention. He is calling for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to end its contracts with private prison companies such as the GEO Group, which runs the immigrant detention facility in Aurora.
Following his initial denial of entry on February 20th and confirmation of a mumps outbreak at the Aurora Contract Detention Facility, Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) led a letter on February 28th to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The letter requested information from ICE regarding health conditions and response to outbreaks at facilities nationwide.
Four months later, Crow finally received a response. In its letter, ICE denies that it has an oversight role over health conditions at privately contract facilities, like the Aurora Contract Detention Facility.
