Crow Statement on House Passage of War Powers Resolution

June 3, 2026

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO), a former paratrooper and Army Ranger who serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed a bipartisan War Powers Resolution to end Trump’s war with Iran:

“The President’s war with Iran has been an unmitigated disaster. 13 servicemembers lost their lives, billions of taxpayer dollars have been spent, and Americans are seeing their everyday costs rise higher and higher.

“People are fed up with endless conflict in the Middle East. With today’s bipartisan vote, Congress is finally doing what it should have done months ago. The American people oppose this war and want our leaders to end this reckless war.”

Crow recently took to the House floor to demand Congress pass this resolution. Crow has repeatedly condemned Trump's illegal war of choice in Iran. He previously introduced a War Powers resolution with Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA) to end this war and introduced legislation to prohibit federal funding for the war. As someone from a working class family who served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Crow has seen firsthand the toll forever wars have cost servicemembers and hardworking Americans.
