AURORA — Today, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), sent a letter urging the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to address serious concerns raised by Aurora residents and Colorado environmental advocates over the safety of the Lowry Landfill Superfund Site (LLSS) – one of the country's most contaminated toxic waste sites.

AURORA — Today, Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO-06), veteran, joined by Colorado Representatives Diana DeGette (D-CO-01), Joe Neguse (D-CO-02), Lauren Boebert (R-CO-03), Ken Buck (R-CO-04), Doug Lamborn (R-CO-05), Brittany Pettersen (D-CO-07), and Yadira Caraveo (D-CO-08), sent a letter to US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary McDonough urging action to address serious concerns reported by Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System (VA ECHCS) employees, including staffing shortages, safety risks, and the direction of hospital leadership.

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), Army veteran, applauded the release of guidance for public housing authorities (PHAs) to screen and refer eligible veterans for the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) HUD-VA Supported Housing (HUD-VASH) Program. The news follows Congressman Crow’s letter with Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper urging the departments to provide Congressionally-directed guidance amid a years-long delay that left many PHAs, including the Aurora Housing Authority, unable to cut past the red tape and help alleviate administrative challenges facing the program.

COLORADO — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), Army veteran, Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper (D-CO), Colorado Governor Jared Polis, Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera, and Major General Laura Clellan of the Colorado National Guard joined in support of the National Governors Association Council of Governors letter calling on the Department of Defense (DOD) to retract Legislative Proposal 480 (LP 480).
