U.S. Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) is encouraging Colorado small businesses affected by the coronavirus crisis to take advantage of Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) to help them during the coronavirus pandemic.

Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) today joined 66 members of Congress in a letter led by Rep. Neguse urging Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to work with federal agencies, foreign governments, and commercial airlines to ensure the safe homecoming for any American wishing to return home. Crow's call comes as his office works directly with constituents stranded in several countries including Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Morocco, and France due to the coronavirus.

Today, Rep. Jason Crow introduced the Increasing Access to Capital Act, a bill to make it easier and faster for small businesses to get a loan during the coronavirus. Crow's bill expands and bolsters the Small Business Administration (SBA) Express loan program, which can approve loans in as little as 36 hours. The bill also waives fees for SBA's flagship loan programs, increases loan guarantees for commercial lenders to incentivize them to give loans to small businesses, and increases maximum loan sizes so small businesses can get the relief they need. The bill is part of a larger comprehensive Small Business COVID-19 relief package.

Colorado U.S. Congressman Jason Crow joined over 100 other Members in sending a letter to Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson; Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Robert Wilkie; Department of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, and Director of Federal Housing Finance Agency, Mark Calabria requesting an immediate nationwide moratorium on all foreclosures of, an evictions from, properties owned, insured, or overseen by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), or the Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Service in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Today, Colorado U.S. Congressman Jason Crow led a letter with 15 of his colleagues to the Secretary of the Department of Defense, Mark Esper, calling on the Pentagon to take all necessary measures to protect military families, servicemembers, and civilian personnel who will be called upon to provide humanitarian relief during the coronavirus pandemic. The letter highlights the critical role the Department of Defense has played in past disaster response missions, such as the Ebola virus epidemic, and the role it will likely play in the coronavirus pandemic.

As the search for a permanent headquarters for USSPACECOM continues, Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) spent the week in Colorado and Washington making the case for Buckley Air Force Base and Colorado as a whole.

On Monday, Crow met with Mark Kennedy, President of the University of Colorado, to discuss how they can work together to base Space Command in Colorado and expand the University's federal funding for defense, space, and aerospace research programs. Both Kennedy and Crow have cited the quality of Colorado's education system as a central component for why Colorado is the best home for space missions.
