Congressman Jason Crow Attends Bill Signing for Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) today released the following statement after attending the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act bill signing at the White House. The $550 billion package, signed into law today by President Biden, is the largest long-term investment in US infrastructure that has passed in nearly a century. It makes the largest federal investment in public transit ever, the largest federal investment in passenger rail since the creation of Amtrak, the single largest dedicated bridge investment since the construction of the interstate highway system and the largest investment in clean drinking water and waste water infrastructure in American history.
"It was my honor to stand alongside President Biden as he signed into law this life-changing investment for the American people. With the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, we're making much-needed improvements to our roads and bridges, bringing our infrastructure into the 21st-Century, and the best part is that we're going to employ American workers while we do it. As someone who has worked construction myself, I cannot overstate the impact these good paying jobs will have on our community. This is exactly the investment we need to jumpstart our economy for hardworking folks here in Colorado, and position our country to lead well into the future."
