Rep. Jason Crow Statement on the Developing Situation in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON - Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) released the following statement regarding the developing situation in Afghanistan.

"Today my heart has broken. Like most combat veterans of this war, I left part of myself in Afghanistan. This is not how any of us wanted it to end."

"There will be time to debate the failures, missteps, and lost opportunities of the past 20 years, but today our mission is clear: hold the Kabul airport as long as possible and get all U.S. citizens and as many Afghan partners out as possible."

"That is our only task right now, we will debate the rest later."
