Crow Statement on U.S. Space Command Headquarters Update

November 19, 2020

Below please find a statement from Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO) on the release of the Air Force's list of finalist installations downselected for U.S. Space Command.

"I've long said Colorado needs to be the future home of the U.S. Space Command. We have the right infrastructure, an incredible pool of talent and military expertise, and a proud history as an aerospace leader. This morning, I spoke with Assistant Secretary of the Air Force John Henderson who shared that Colorado Springs remains on the shortlist for U.S. Space Command. This is encouraging for Colorado and our community.

"Buckley Air Force Base remains a national leader in space operations and homeland defense. The thriving Aurora-Denver metropolitan area is attracting the brightest aerospace talent from across the country and we will continue to support expanded current and future space missions. I look forward to continued collaboration with the Colorado Congressional delegation and Governor Polis to make the case for basing USSPACECOM permanently in Colorado."
