Crow Hears from Over 1,000 Coloradans Impacted by Postal Service Changes; Supports Delivering for America Act
WASHINGTON, DC -- In a rare Saturday session, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) will vote for the Delivering for America Act. The bill protects the Postal Service from the dangerous policy changes introduced by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy that would result in diminished service and delays.
In the days leading up to the vote, Crow's office reached out to constituents over email and social media asking if they had experienced any recent mail delays. In less than 72 hours, Crow's office received over 1,000 replies from concerned Coloradans. Below please find a sample of their testimonials.
"Nothing has been normal this year, including the attacks on the postal service. Mitch McConnell says reports of delays are overblown, but that's probably because he doesn't rely on the mail for his medicine or benefits like millions of Americans. Maybe they don't deliver to the ivory tower he's been living in all these years. This week, my office has heard from over a thousand Coloradans who have experienced delays with their medications or benefits. This isn't an inconvenience, this is a risk to their health and well-being," said Crow.
Earlier this week, Crow visited three post offices including Aurora Main Post Office, Gateway Post Office, and Denver Post Office talking with postal service workers and Coloradans who have been impacted by DeJoy's policy changes.
