Crow Calls for Congress to Immediately Reconvene to End Iran War

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO), a former paratrooper and Army Ranger who serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement in response to the Trump’s horrific threats that “a whole civilization will die tonight”:

“Calling for the elimination of an entire civilization and threatening to blow up civilian bridges and power plants are war crimes that cannot be ignored. Speaker Johnson must bring Congress back to Washington immediately so we can vote to end Trump’s war with Iran and prevent war crimes.

“Members of our Armed Forces must remember their oaths to the Constitution. As I have said before, if servicemembers are asked to carry out illegal orders, they have a solemn duty to follow the law.

“The President is endangering the American people, our servicemembers, our allies, and innocent civilians. Americans of good conscience must come together and reject this madness.”
