Crow Announces Funding for Four CO-06 Projects to be Included in House Transportation Legislation
AURORA - Today, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) announced that four CO-06 projects will be included in the INVEST in America Act, the Fiscal Year 2022 surface transportation authorization legislation. The INVEST in America Act is a five-year, $547 billion bill to invest in our nation’s roads, bridges, transit and rail.
“Colorado’s rapid growth has put a serious strain on our infrastructure and community resources,” said Congressman Jason Crow. “The INVEST in America Act makes a substantial investment in our nation’s roads, bridges, transit, and rail systems, bringing American infrastructure into the 21st century. I am proud that four CO-06 projects are included in the legislation, including improvements to busy intersections that will reduce traffic and improve pedestrian access. These infrastructure and community investments will make life easier for millions of Coloradans.”
Crow submitted seven CO-06 project requests for consideration in the FY2022 legislation. The following four projects have been included in the final legislation.
- Aurora Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update
- Aurora Expansion of Gun Club Road
- Arapahoe County Improvements to I-25/Belleview Avenue Interchange
- Centennial Improvements to Easter and Havana Intersection
The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will consider the INVEST in America Act today and the legislation is expected to be on the House floor soon after.
