Congressman Jason Crow Named to House Small Business Committee
Below please find a statement from Rep. Jason Crow following his appointment to the House Small Business Committee:
“I am thrilled to be named to the House Small Business Committee. As the son of small business owners, I know just how hard it is to run a small business but also the incredible value they add to the community.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and nowhere is that more true than in Colorado’s sixth district. The entrepreneurial spirit is an inherent part of our district’s DNA with thousands of small businesses owned by people of color, veterans, women, and immigrants. I look forward to making sure our small businesses have the tools they need to succeed and grow our economy right here at home.”
In Colorado, small businesses employ 1.1 million people or a one-half of the private sector workforce. The state is home to over 610,000 small businesses of which 15% are minority-owned.
