Congressman Crow Statement on The Trump Administration’s Decision to Cancel Energy Projects in Colorado

October 2, 2025

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) issued the following statement after the Director of the Office of Management and Budget Russell Vought announced the administration is canceling billions of dollars worth of clean energy projects in Blue states around the U.S., including Colorado.

In a statement, Congressman Crow said:

“Donald Trump is weaponizing the federal government to try and punish Americans that voted for Democrats in the last election.

“First, Trump moved Space Command because he did not like Colorado’s secure mail-in voting system. Now the President is canceling clean energy projects to punish Coloradans for a government shutdown he caused.

“This spiteful and cruel decision will raise energy bills and mean the loss of good-paying jobs in Colorado. We will not kiss the ring of a wannabe king. This blatant intimidation and act of retribution is illegal.”
