Congressman Crow Statement on the Inauguration of Donald Trump

January 20, 2025

Crow: “I will work to find common ground with our new president to meet our country’s challenges. I’ll also not be afraid to continue speaking up on issues that matter most to Colorado.”

AURORA — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) released the following statement on the inauguration of Donald Trump as 47th President of the United States:

In a statement, Congressman Crow said:

“Free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. Donald Trump won the election and is our new President. The inauguration should always represent the peaceful transfer of power between leaders, a defining tradition of our nation’s history.

“I have always made it my priority to get results for Coloradans. With President Trump taking office, I will work to find common ground with President Trump to meet our country’s challenges. I’ll also not be afraid to continue speaking up on issues that matter most to Colorado.

“People are working harder than ever, but feel like they can’t make ends meet. As someone who worked minimum-wage jobs, construction, and joined the Army to put myself through school, I get it. We need to make our economy work for everyday Americans, not just the billionaires, big corporations, or special interests. President Trump should work with Democrats to lower the cost of housing, gas and groceries for working people, not prioritize massive tax cuts for the wealthy and well-connected.”
