Congressman Crow Statement on President Biden’s Executive Order on Reducing Gun Violence

March 14, 2023

Crow: “I’ll keep working to protect our community from gun violence, stop deadly weapons from falling into dangerous hands, and save lives.”

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), combat veteran and member of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, released this statement today after President Biden signed an executive order to increase background checks required for purchasing firearms, improve safe and secure gun storage, and ensure the effectiveness of comprehensive gun safety legislation like the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which Congressman Crow helped pass into law.

In a statement, Congressman Crow said:

“From Columbine to the Aurora movie theater, Colorado has felt the pain of gun violence. I applaud President Biden for taking the action needed to curb gun violence and strengthen the commonsense measures I fought to deliver. I’ll keep working to protect our community from gun violence, stop deadly weapons from falling into dangerous hands, and save lives.”
