Congressman Crow Statement on H.R. 1, the ‘Polluters Over People’ Act

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) released this statement following House passage of  H.R. 1, the ‘Polluters over People’ Act, which would increase the deficit by $2.4 billion, contribute to the worsening climate crisis, and slash bedrock environmental protections that safeguard public health and keep our air and water clean. Congressman Crow voted against this legislation. 

In a statement, Congressman Crow said: 

“The climate crisis is one of our most pressing national security concerns, but this legislation ignores the steps we need to take to fix it. I voted against this bill because it slashes bedrock environmental protections that keep Coloradans’ air and water clean and jeopardizes our efforts to combat the climate crisis and keep Americans safe.”
