Congressman Crow Delivers on Nine Local Projects for the District

March 10, 2022

WASHINGTON – Congressman Jason Crow(CO-06) today delivered on nine local projects he secured for Colorado's sixth congressional district in the government funding bill passed last night. The $9,950,000 in total funding secured by Congressman Crow responds directly to some of the most pressing needs in the community.

"At the tail end of this pandemic, these projects are going to give our community the boost we need. I'm proud to deliver on these projects that will support our underserved areas and promote local economic growth. I look forward to the positive difference they'll make in the lives of our friends, family, and neighbors," said Congressman Jason Crow.

Crow championed funding for these nine projects that will directly benefit Coloradans, including:

§ $2,000,000 for Expanding Services to Domestic Violence Victims in Adams County

§ $1,000,000 for Generational Opportunities to Achieve Long-Term Success (GOALS) Program

§ $1,350,000 for Safe Outdoor Spaces

§ $1,700,000 for Village Exchange Center Community Center Renovation Project

§ $450,000 for UCHealth Trauma Services, Aurora, CO for an at-risk intervention and mentoring violence prevention program, including mental health treatment and other services

§ $1,000,000 for Aurora Community Mental Health Center, Aurora, CO for facilities and equipment

§ $1,000,000 for University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, CO for a health workforce initiative

§ $500,000 for Children's Hospital Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, CO for a health training initiative

§ $950,000 for Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome, Aurora, CO for purchase of equipment

The twelve-bill government funding package will help middle class families with cost of living, create American jobs, support the vulnerable, and work to help small businesses and restaurants that are key to our economic future. Taken together, the funding for Colorado and the funding increases for critical government programs will reverse decades of disinvestment in our communities and go a long way to strengthen our nation.

This legislation will be voted on by the Senate and signed into law by President Biden shortly thereafter. A detailed summary of the funding bill is availablehere.

Crow previously spoke before the House Appropriations Committee advocating for these investments (watch here). A full breakdown of all CO-06 Community Project Funding Requests can be foundhere.
