Congressman Crow Calls GOP’s Move to Hold Secretary Blinken in Contempt of Congress Grossly Political

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), Ranking Member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee Subcommittee on Oversight and Accountability, released this statement after Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee announced a markup to hold Secretary of State Blinken in contempt of Congress.

In a statement, Congressman Crow said: 

“Republicans’ move to hold Secretary Blinken in contempt of Congress is grossly political. Blinken has already gone above and beyond to accommodate the Committee’s requests, including testifying twice and providing over 20,000 pages of documents. The Majority should retract their efforts and work in good faith.”
