December 8, 2023

Crow: “These federal dollars will help link more Coloradans to our growing businesses and communities and keep our economy on track.”

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) awarded $500,000 in funding for the Front Range Corridor Passenger Rail District to expand passenger rail intermediary stops spanning Fort Collins to Pueblo. As part of the Corridor Identification Development (Corridor ID) Plan established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), allocated federal funding will be invested in development efforts. The Corridor ID Plan identifies projects to bolster America’s passenger rail network.

“The Greater Denver metro area has experienced rapid growth and our communities urgently need updated and expanded infrastructure. That’s why I championed major investments with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in projects like Front Range Corridor Passenger Rail that will improve public transit in our state,” said Congressman Crow. “These federal dollars will help link more Coloradans to our growing businesses and communities and keep our economy on track. I look forward to seeing the impact of this vital transportation investment.”

Congressman Crow helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law last Congress to rebuild Colorado’s critical infrastructure. Since its passage, funding has been announced for over 300 specific projects across the state to repair roads and bridges, enhance airports, expand high-speed internet access, and improve public transit.
