NORMANDY — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), Army combat veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne Division and 75th Ranger Regiment, released this statement marking 80 years since the D-Day invasion. On June 6, 1944, the US with Allied forces launched a massive airborne assault on the beaches of Normandy, France that ultimately led to the liberation of Western Europe and a decisive victory over Hitler’s Nazi Germany in World War II.

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Accountability joined a hearing in the House Rules Committee to speak in opposition to House Republicans’ overreaching legislation that would impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC), or any foreign actor who supports their effort to prosecute protected persons of the US and its allies.

AURORA — This week, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) delivered $500,000 to the Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network (CACEN) to create Colorado’s first Asian American “Social Fabric” community center. The funding comes during AANHPI Heritage Month and is part of the 15 community projects Crow requested and secured through the FY24 appropriations process.

BOW MAR & CENTENNIAL — On Tuesday, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) delivered over $600,000 in community project funding, including $455,400 for the Town of Bow Mar to repair and replace right of way signage used to access open space areas, $108,000 for Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office to acquire new dog kennels for police K9s, and $59,000 for the POST Board Certified Law Enforcement Academy to implement a program to train recruits to agency standards. The funding is part of the 15 community projects Crow requested and secured through the FY24 appropriations process.

DENVER & AURORA — Today, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) delivered funding he secured for three community projects totaling nearly $5,000,000. The community projects included $1,000,000 for Food Bank of the Rockies to expand hunger-relief efforts, $3,000,000 for the City of Aurora to renovate Aurora’s Central Library, and $900,000 for Aurora Water to replace aging pressure regulating valves and improve water service. These are three of the 15 community projects Congressman Crow secured funding for through the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations process to directly benefit residents of Colorado's 6th District.

AURORA — On Monday, Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06) joined President of Community College of Aurora (CCA) Dr. Mordecai Brownlee, CCA Vice President of Academic Success Dr. Bobby Pace, industry partners, educators and students to present $850,000 to construct Community College of Aurora’s new Center for STEM, Power Mechanics and Applied Technologies. Currently under construction and scheduled to be completed by fall of 2025, the space will expand critical programming in high-growth career fields in Colorado to address industry workforce needs and prepare students for a wide range of careers in STEM, construction, clean energy, diesel power mechanics, and other applied technology fields.
