Today, Congressman Jason Crow, joined by the entire Colorado Congressional delegation, sent a letter to President Trump asking for extended funding for the Colorado National Guard in support of the fight against COVID-19. Without the extension of funding, the National Guard could end their mission in Colorado as early as May 15.

U.S. Representatives Jason Crow (CO-06), Elissa Slotkin (MI-08), Tim Ryan (OH-13), and Katie Porter (CA-45) announced legislation to require the president to utilize the full power of the Defense Production Act to mobilize a federal response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill is the House companion to the Medical Supply Transparency and Delivery Act introduced earlier this morning by Senators Baldwin, Murphy, and Schumer.

Congressman Jason Crow today voted to pass $484 billion to assist businesses, hospitals and testing in the response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The legislation, which passed the Senate on Tuesday, now heads to the President's desk to be signed into law. Prior to the vote, Crow testified in front of the Small Business Committee about the need to fund the small business programs and address any misuse of the relief programs by publicly-traded companies.

Representative Jason Crow (CO-06) today testified in front of the U.S. House Committee on Small Business on the urgent need to continue to support funding for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) and to hold bad actors who abuse these programs accountable. Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO-06) alongside Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health Ranking Member Michael Burgess (R-TX-26) introduced the Public Health Workforce Loan Repayment Act, H.R. 6578, to establish the Public Health Workforce Loan Repayment Program to promote the recruitment of public health professionals at local, state, and tribal public health agencies. The bill would also appropriate $100 million for FY 2020 and $75 million for FY 2021 - 2025 for the program. The idea for the bill was proposed by Dr.

Jason Crow (CO-06), Elissa Slotkin (MI-08) and seven other members of the House freshman class with national security backgrounds introduced a resolution today to formally honor frontline workers responding to COVID-19, recognizing the parallels between their selfless service during this crisis and those who have traditionally been on the frontlines of America's defense. Reps. Gil Cisneros, Chrissy Houlahan, Abigail Spanberger, Elaine Luria, Mikie Sherrill, Max Rose, and Jared Golden introduced the resolution with Crow and Slotkin.

Today Congressman Jason Crow led a letter to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) along with 11 members of Congress requesting increased transparency regarding the reporting of COVID-19 cases among staff and personnel working at immigration detention centers. While ICE.gov does report COVID-19 among ICE employees, it excludes contract staffers and personnel who work at facilities from its report.
