Today, Representative Jason Crow (CO-06) announced that cities and counties in the 6th district have been awarded nearly $980,000 in federal grants to assist in its effort to contain, mitigate the spread of, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding includes $580,000 for Aurora, $46,000 for Brighton, and $42,000 for Centennial as well as $153,000 for Adams County, $79,000 for Arapahoe County, and $79,000 for Douglas County. Following pressure by Congressman Jason Crow, a former Army Ranger who started his service in the National Guard, and his colleagues in Congress, President Donald Trump announced today that he will extend federal orders for National Guard deployments into August. The Administration previously ordered National Guard deployments end on June 24, just one day before thousands of soldiers would qualify for education and retirement benefits.
