WASHINGTON - Yesterday, the House passed legislation led by Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) that would expedite the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) process for Afghan interpreters and other partners. The Honoring Our Promises through Expedition [HOPE] for Afghan SIVs Act of 2021 would temporarily waive the requirement for SIV applicants to undergo a medical examination while in Afghanistan.

The legislation passed the House with broad bipartisan support.

HOPE for Afghan SIVs Act Would Temporarily Waive Medical Examination Requirements for SIV Applicants

WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass bipartisan legislation introduced by Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) that would expedite the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) process for Afghan interpreters and other partners.

The Honoring Our Promises through Expedition [HOPE] for Afghan SIVs Act of 2021 would temporarily waive the requirement for SIV applicants to undergo a medical examination while in Afghanistan.

WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) introduced legislation that would name the new Aurora VA community-based outpatient clinic (CBOC) after Lieutenant Colonel John Mosley. Lieutenant Colonel Mosley, a Denver native who lived in Aurora, was a Tuskegee Airman, civil rights activist and the first black football player at Colorado State University.

The ALLIES Act was introduced alongside 24 bipartisan members of Congress.

Legislation Would End 2002 Authorization of Military Force Against Iraq

WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06) voted to pass H.R. 256, Repealing the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) Against Iraq Resolution of 2002. This bipartisan legislation would terminate the nearly two-decade-old congressional authorization for using military force in Iraq, first enacted in 2002.
