Below please find a statement from Rep. Jason Crow following his vote to end the government shutdown.

"This shutdown is unnecessary and reckless and Congress has a responsibility to resolve it ASAP. It's why I supported a bipartisan bill that would allow all 20,000 Coloradans furloughed or working without pay to return to work.

"As a former Army Ranger, I take our national security seriously and support funding border security - all of which this bill does. What I don't support is a cheap election gambit by President Trump to fund an ineffective and immoral wall.

Today, former army ranger Jason Crow was sworn into the United States House of Representatives. As a first-time candidate, this is Crow's first time holding office. During the event, Rep. Crow was joined by his wife Deserai Crow and two children, Anderson and Josephine.
