Congressman Crow Statement on the Five-Year Anniversary of March For Our Lives
Crow: “Five years on, Colorado’s students are still marching for their lives…And that’s unacceptable."
WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), combat veteran and member of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, released this statement marking five years since millions of young Americans walked out into the streets to demand gun safety on March 24, 2018 in the first March for Our Lives demonstration.
In a statement, Congressman Crow said:
“From Columbine to the Aurora theater, Colorado knows the pain of gun violence. Just this week, two faculty members were shot outside of Denver’s East High School as we marked two years since the Boulder King Soopers shooting.
“Five years after the first March for Our Lives, Colorado’s students still don’t feel safe in their grocery stores, movie theaters, and schools. That’s unacceptable.
“I stand with Colorado’s students and March for Our Lives. I will continue to work to pass common sense gun violence prevention legislation to keep our families and communities safe.”
